Tsunami
Simple Schooling Tsunami is part of the upper level earth science series which also includes Atmosphere, Hurricane, Tornado, Earthquake, and Thunderstorm. In this unit students will learn how a tsunami is formed, the different types of waves, areas around the world which are affected, tsunami safety, historical tsunamis – including the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, and tsunami warning systems.

Nova Tsunami - Wave that Shook the World
There are MANY videos of the 2004 tsunami on YouTube if you are interested - but I could not put them up on the website as they are too heartbreaking. The video below is frightening - but nothing like the 2004 tsunami and I feel it is safe for students to watch if only to realize the power of the waves.
