The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck

Simple Schooling’s The Tale of Jemima Puddle-duck is a new way to read an old classic!  In this Beatrix Potter story poor Jemima only wants to sit and hatch her own eggs but the farmer’s wife wants the more efficient hens to do the job.  Jemima won’t take this sitting down and wanders off to make her nest in a quiet spot and meets the most polite and accommodating gentleman with the sandy colored whiskers.

This little unit study is for non-readers or emerging readers.  They can follow along with the narration and then test their memory of events with an activity at the end.  The cherry on top is an interactive jigsaw puzzle to put together and a certificate of completion for posterity.
