Mendelian Genetics

Gregor Mendel - The Basis of Inheritance is a great introduction of simple genetics.  Formulated before the known existence of either DNA or chromosomes, Mendel's theories stood the test of time and were proven correct a few decades after his death.  This unit study explains his early influences ad life at the monastery, why the pea plant was such an excellent choice for an experimental organism, how his experiments were designed, the outcome of the experiments, and Mendel's insightful hypotheses that would forever give him the title of Father of Genetics!

This unit includes genetics terminology, a self-grading quiz, and a certificate of completion.  Appropriate for grades 8 and up.
