Discovering DNA
Simple Schooling Discovering DNA takes students step by step through the scientific teams and specific experiments which enabled us to understand not only what material conveys genetic information, but also what this molecule looks like. Students will explore the following scientific teams:
- Fredrick Griffith
- Oswald Avery
- Hershey & Chase
- Erwin Chargaff
- Wilkins & Franklin
- Watson & Crick
Students should have completed all the macromolecule units (amino acids, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and lipids), Mitosis, Meiosis, The Kingdoms of Life, Gregor Mendel, and Chromosomal Inheritance before attempting this advanced unit.
